Another evening of great music awaits you as Radio Wigwam & Grassroots Connect once again team up with the Purple Turtle in Reading (Radio Wigwam Best Grassroots Venue of 2026) on Thursday 8th October.

On the bill are:
Boxing Club - Born out of London’s underground gig circuit in 2024, Boxing Club are a four-piece straddling the Glasgow–London divide
Dream Motel - Emerging from Bristol and South Wales, Dream Motel are a female-fronted four piece blending dreamy 90’s shoegaze with modern R&B influences.
Reliant - From Wokingham/Reading described as powerfully punchy with catchy lyrics and mesmerizing vocals

The majority of Radio Wigwam & Grassroots Connect events are free to attend, but that doesn't mean they're free for us to stage.

Putting on a live music event comes with a range of essential costs, including venue hire, artist fees, sound and lighting production, marketing, licensing, and event insurance. Depending on the size of the event, these costs can range from a few hundred pounds for a local pub gig to tens of thousands for a large-scale festival.
