Thea Schultz Solo Exhibition

Thea Schultz’s work reclaims narratives of women historically depicted as passive muses, reimagining figures from art history, mythology and literature as vivid, self-determined characters within dreamy, fantastical worlds. Through watercolour, gouache and oil pastel, these spaces become private oases where women can exist entirely for themselves, away from the expectations and gaze of others. Thea explore female agency, selfhood and the freedom to retreat inward, get to know oneself and imagine a life on one’s own terms.

The exhibition brings together works ranging from large two-metre paintings with a strong physical presence to smaller, intimate framed watercolours, creating a varied body of work across different scales and fluid-based mediums.
