Join us for a short (45-50 minute) family concert of music with wonderful colours and emotion. A selection from the evening concert programme, including the towering giant of the genre, John Williams. ‘Adventures on Earth’ will be introduced by young presenters in a relaxed atmosphere where movement and noise during the performance is no problem. There will be audience interaction for those who want to get more involved, as well as a room near the stage where anyone feeling overwhelmed can go and hear the music in a calmer, quieter environment.
Full Concert Programme (please note: only selected pieces performed during the family concert):
Roger May – Concerto for Euphonium (soloist – James Blackford)
Daisy Ashworth – Apollo (world premiere)
John Williams – ET: Adventures on Earth
Bendřich Smetana - Vltava (from Má Vlast)
Tickets for each can be purchased from the APO website: www.aldworthphilharmonic.org.uk/next-event.
As ever, APO’s famous ‘Concert Virgin’ scheme offers free tickets, no questions asked, to anyone who’s never heard a live orchestra perform. These can also be reserved from the APO website.
