Christmas at Basildon Park: A Winter Ball

Join us for a Winter ball this Christmas and New Year.

Soak up the opulence of Basildon Park by attending our Winter Ball. Immerse yourself in the glamour champagne receptions in our dazzling ballroom.

This season at Basildon Park, join us for a day of festive glamour. Anticipate the excitement of clocks striking midnight, create your own masquerade face mask and dance in the newly refurbished ballroom. 

Inside the House

This year you are invited to attend a dazzling ball in the heart of the mansion. As you step inside, you will be transported through time and space. Glimmering lights will adorn the mansion and the excited chatter of the ballroom will beckon you in. Have a go at dancing along in the ballroom, and get creative by making your own mask for the masquerade ball.

Parkland Walks

There are four way marked routes in the parkland, with fantastic views of the mansion and parkland. There are also shorter walks available, with hard standing paths in the gardens. Take a photo of the map from Visitor Reception and get some fresh air outside, with some warming hot drinks afterwards available in the tea-room.

Take part in the winter children's trail

Beat the clock to get to the ball before midnight on our winter children's trail. Trails will be available to purchase from visitor reception.

Illuminated Wintry Woodland

The Illuminated Wintry Woodland next to the Stableyard takes a space full of shadow and mystery throughout the autumn months, and transforms it into a space of winter hope and reflection. Not to mention, a fantastic festive photo opportunity!

Please note that we may have to turn off the lights off during wet weather for the safety of our woodland inhabitants, visitors, and staff.
