Introduction to Floristry

with British flowers

24th March 5pm - 6:30pm

Join sustainable florist Kathryn of Green Feather Flowers on Sunday 24th March for a hands-on introduction to the art of floristry. Do you love the idea of creating beautiful floral magic, but find that your fingers lead to fumbled, flat or messy displays? Have you never tried your hand at arranging flowers and wonder what it’s like? Come and join us for friendly expert tuition, whatever your aspirations for your first floristry steps.

What will I do during the workshop?

You'll be introduced to all the basic equipment you need to create a range of beautiful, sustainable floral designs.

You’ll explore different inspiration and purposes for floristry, and choose your favourite starting point to lead you in making your own design of a hand-tied sheaf (flat bouquet).

You’ll learn tips and tricks on how to prepare a variety of fresh, high-quality British-grown flowers and foliage to ensure longevity in your floral creation.

You’ll be supported to build your own unique sheaf, a display which is easy to then transport home to show off the reward of your new skills.

What is included and who is the workshop for?

All materials are included. No experience or prior knowledge is necessary, the workshop is suitable for 16+ years. Workshops last approximately 90 minutes. Cost of the workshop is £46 per person. Ingredients may differ to those pictured as we are led by the British seasons and will choose the best quality blooms just before our workshop.
