Artists in Residence -Just a moment creative workshop

Join artist Katie Maria Francis for a workshop exploring energy exchanges/encounters through colour, collage and written word.

Sat 6 Mar, 11:30 - 13.30

Join artist Katie Maria Francis for a workshop exploring energy exchanges/encounters through colour, collage and written word.

The invisible world around us is a chaotic storm of energies, emotions, thoughts and ideas flying around. This world is full of energy encounters, some we’re aware of, and some not.

A moment of sadness belonging to another can quickly become your own, just as another’s moment of joy can be felt by others. What colour are these moments, what shape are they and how do they feel? Are they dark, abrasive, or repetitive? Joyous and sunshiney, odd, suspicious, or perhaps well rounded. Was it a sharp moment, or a sharp tone cutting through a softer moment, or perhaps a day of fractured moments- some unable to take a form, colour or shape? What colour was your bus journey?

In this workshop together with the artist there will be an opportunity to explore how we can respond to these moments and energies through colour, collage and written world.

This is a workshop where everyone is welcome, and prejudice is not.

All materials are provided, and you are welcome to bring along a hot drink to enjoy during the session.
