Five Days That Changed The World: Reading Bach Choir

Music by Bob Chilcott, Eric Whitacre, and others

Reading Bach Choir sing Bob Chilcott's Five Days That Changed The World, celebrating a series of significant historical events: the invention of moveable type, the abolition of slavery, the first powered flight, the discovery of penicillin, and the first man in space.

The choir undertakes its own unique exploration of each of these five days by pairing each movement with music reflecting on the event.  With composers including Eric Whitacre, Melissa Dunphy, Samuel Barber and Laura Mvula, the concert spans music of six centuries and will take you on a choral journey through some important events in the history of humanity.
