We are delighted to offer this presentation by Jenny Hastings Caithness whose lectures are more usually given on cruise ships.
Jenny will take us behind the scenes of the real Downton Abbeys to gain a fascinating insight into the lives of servants in the past, from those in the vast Royal Household to maids of all work. Set against the social history of the time, this talk draws on the wealth of knowledge and experience Jennifer has gained through her work, combined with meticulous research.
Jenny was at one time the summer housekeeper (and dressed as such) working for Queen Victoria at Osbourne House, so I am sure there will be stories from her time there.
