About us

Here at Christ Church we enjoy a dynamic, multicultural and intergenerational community.

Situated South of the town centre, our parish covers a large geographical area which ensures a diversity of members, from longstanding resident parishioners to relatively short-term visitors studying at Reading University.

Our regular services are on Sundays at 10am and 6pm. We welcome everyone to join us in our acts of worship.

Choir and Music

Christ Church has a proud and ambitious musical tradition. Music at our church ranges from congregational singing of hymns to Choral Eucharist and Choral Evensong.

The choir sings music from the Anglican tradition as well as other European music and spirituals. 

There are no auditions to join the choir and we are always keen to have new members – whether children or adults. The junior members of the choir work towards Royal School of Church Music (RSCM) awards and we also run a programme of Choral and Organ Scholarships for young musicians.
