We’re Mad Monkey Improv

Mad Monkey Improv is a Reading-based improv comedy group creating completely unscripted shows where anything can happen — and usually does.

Our regular MISSION shows take audience suggestions and turn them into scenes, stories, characters and ridiculous situations, all made up live on stage. No scripts. No rehearsed punchlines. No safety net.

Our performers come from a mix of acting, comedy and improv backgrounds, united by a love of making each other laugh, embracing the unexpected and seeing just how far an idea can go.

We believe improv is at its best when it’s playful, spontaneous and a little bit chaotic. Every show is different, every audience helps shape what happens, and once a moment is gone, it’s gone forever.

Based in Reading, Berkshire, you can find us performing regularly at Pentahotel Reading, as well as popping up at other shows and events.
