Behind the Garden Wall - Gardeners' tales from Caversham Court

Gardeners have played an important but often undervalued role in the running of landed estates right up to the present day. Portraits, old photographs, wage slips and newspaper reports from the Caversham Court archive give an insight into the lives of the gardening staff and the often complex relationships between employer and head gardener over the centuries.
