About us
The Wild Plant Laboratory is run by Steph, who runs workshops and 1:1 tuition in spinning, felted sheepskin rugs and seat pads, botanical printing, block printing and natural dyes. Focused on land connection and traditional skills.
Steph also works with The Outside, natural dyers who have a flock of Shetland x Gotland sheep which conservation graze the organic land at Hardwick Estate. They dye British wool socks and fleece from their own sheep with local and sustainably sourced natural dyes and offer workshops in sheep husbandry, natural dyeing and fibre processing.
Steph makes felted sheepskin rugs using the fleece from The Outside flock and creates botanically printed, plant dyed quilts using local, foraged and sustainably sourced dyes- available on our website.
